STUDENT INVOLVEMENT
Student involvement, engagement, and education are central to the mission of the UA Innovation Fund. Since its inception in 2023, the Fund has worked with 61 students, offering meaningful opportunities that range from volunteer experiences to paid internships. Through hands-on participation in real-world innovation and investment activities, students gain practical skills, industry exposure, and valuable professional experience that prepares them to contribute thoughtfully to the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
UAIS and UA Fund Partnership
The University of Alberta AI Society has partnered with the UA Innovation Fund to conduct deep dives on exciting AI technologies implemented in our companies. Led by Computer Science Student Hamidat Bello, they support our Deal Flow team and Investment Committee through key processes, increasing efficiency and giving unique experiences to the students.

The UA Innovation Fund is proud to have such excellent alumni interns who have graduated and moved on from our team. Our students have gone on to make significant impacts in a variety of different industries, and we are thrilled by their curiosity and drive to innovate.
